About plodger

"Ian H."

Bio

I've come to this website through a new interest I've developed in an almost unknown copper mine in a woodland belonging to friends. I'm in the process of surveying the engine house, chimney and other remains and I've also been able to find out a lot of history of the site through research. I'm fairly recently retired and I'm finding this a fascinating experience. In my younger days I instructed in outdoor activities and I've lots of past experience in caving and mine exploration both in the North of England and in the South West and this has re-awakened old enthusiasms. I'll attempt to post photographs and plans of my friend's copper mine when I've managed to get some information together and when he feels he's ready to let others know about it - I've promised to restrict this until he feels happy about it.
