Bio


Born and bred in Redruth, Cornwall, I come from a long line of Cornish mineworkers. My PhD focussed on the migration of Cornish mineworkers to Latin America. I love getting underground as often as possible and exploring mine sites round the world. Past President of Europamines: The European Mining Heritage Network and author of numerous books and papers on Cornish mining migration and mining social history.
