A small mine very close to the better known mine of Alltycrib. Its engine shaft was impressive, square stone collared and iron railed, but filled in to make way for a Forestry Road. Recently it has started to open up and was fenced for safety and can be seen on the left hand side of the track as one ascends the hill. Opposite is the head of the stope, this has collapsed making a descent of the workings impossible.
Pumping and winding was by a steam engine which drove flat rods which ran through the deep adit in similar fashion to its better known neighbour. The boiler is currently at the farm of the same name. There was quite a collection of buildings until the site was leveled, the only remaining sign of mining activity below the council road is a fenced shaft which must have connected to the deep adit. I believe that there was also an upper adit.
