Wheal Sparnon Cobalt Mine (United Kingdom)


Parish: Redruth
Started work for Tin and Copper but gave way to the infinitely more valuable Cobalt when a rich lode was struck early on in its history, providing the mine with many years of rich work.

Britains only recorded Cobalt mine. Included Wheal Dumpling - Penticker and Dor Ear mines. Refs; A.K.Hamilton Jenkin
