These mines extended East and West across Bole Hill for about a mile. The most obvious feature being the gruffy ground to the West on the moor and near Black Rocks in the East where an obvious spoil heap and run in shaft sits high up adjacent to the rocks themselves. In the Black Rocks Car Park are the remains of the base of an engine house and a capped shaft on Gang Vein. GR given here is shaft at Black Rocks, the Western part of mines being at SK287556
