Coity Sandstone Quarry (United Kingdom)


Dating from the 1840s this quarry produced most of Blaenavons building stone.
The original tramroad incline down to the town ran thru what is now Big Pit.
The 8ft dia winding drum for the incline is in good condition at the incline head.
