Above Park Coal Colliery (United Kingdom)


This small colliery was near end Of Dairy House Lane North of Dilhorne in Staffs. It operated from 1976 to 1994. The mine was worked by 2 declines, one being worked by an electric haulage unit (this decline was closed in 1983) and the other by conveyor, the conveyor decline lasted to the end in 1994. The mine was operated by the Above Park Colliery Co Ltd throughout its operating life. The site has been landscaped since closure.
