45 Silver Mine (United States)


Silver-gold mine which shipped approx 3185 tons of ore circa 1896-1902. Primary workings consist of tunnel 1 (elev 4500 ft), tunnel 2 (elev 4320 ft), and tunnel 3 (elev 3400 ft). Production came from stopes in tunnels 1 & 2 - tunnel 3 consists of a 1440 ft long crosscut with a 960 ft drift along the vein. Ore shipped averaged 48.4 to 171.4 oz silver per ton, .35 to 1.06 oz gold per ton.
