Please find attached an invitation to Netherthorpe School's "Walking Together' Mining Event. Students from the A Level Citizenship class are hosting this local community event and would like anyone with an interest to attend - friends and family welcome.

The Walking Together project is a new mining memorial to commemorate all those who lost their lives at Markham Colliery in Derbyshire.

The afternoon will include;

Announcing the winner of a mining heritage competition run with some of the local primary school's
An exhibition of the primary school students work
An opportunity to tell your 'mining' story, which will be recorded and hopefully included within the 'Walking Together' project.
A free prize draw @ 2:30pm
A display of mining artefacts, provided by the Derbyshire Record Office
Refreshments

It would be great to see as many of you there as possible.
