It was certainly very, very different seeing the mine by lantern and candle light - now I understand why miners were quite happy to climb down a couple of hundred feet, they couldn't see more than ten feet down! I'm looking forward to seeing the photos, including the headless hound of Alderley Edge! Laugh

Maybe we should do one up at Nent one time, then I can bring a pony, since we own the authentic breed for tramming a North Pennine mine!
