Isn't it on "the list"? Nice trip for a warm, light summer evening?

Ay, it is! I think it's probably a bit big for a single Thursday night, but a few reccees once the warm summer evenings are here (haha). And maybe a day at a weekend too. @dave1964 when are you next in this neck of the woods?

I might be up next weekend if the weather is ok but i will have the dog with me,then i hope to be up in early july for a week with the wife and dog,so that would be the best time, saying that i am in wales about 20 times a year so alternative date would be ok. Got surveys done from before the show mine opened, but not immediately to hand. I don't think any of them were particularly extensive. Will dig them out next time in West Cornwall. There was also an article with surveys in a 1970's NCMRS memoir, again not to hand, & I'm not sure if the upper levels were included. IP: 46.60.252.87

Bit of a long-shot, but does Llwyndu connect at all?

(click image to open full size image in new window)

This is the open stope on the coll between Nant Gwynant and Cwm Bychan. There is a (gated) shaft just around the corner and some surface remains.

That open stope does'nt go of memory but to the right of that is a adit it's a belly crawl then it opens up,water about 6 inches deep it goes for about 150ft then end up in a stope on your right to water,i think it connects to the gated shaft round the corner but i could be wrong, there could be a passage at the bottom of the stope it needs looking at,i have heard that it may connect to the sygun working but who knows?. When Phil Amies owned the site we went along several times, I have to own up I can't remeber what it was like.

You will need permission of the new owners
