Essentially it is an opencast companies dream opportunity .......... they are leaving a huge quantity of overburden permanently in tips (I would hazard somewhere between 6-9 million cubic metres) by reshaping and creating art thereby avoiding having to rehandle the overburden and place into the final void. Hence 'The Scottish World Project' has "landforms" ie shaped up overburden tips and "water features" which are the flooded final working voids which otherwise would have been filled with overburden.
