Having had several Nikon 8400s fail due to damp, dirt and general misuse, I thought I'd try to make one opertional one out of two of the duffs ones.

Amazingly it worked. If I can get any life out of the remaining bits - short cicuiting flash capacitor might make that a little unlikely Blush - I might try building it into a DIY waterproof casing for some underwater video.

You can get Appleby type electrical boxes with clear plastic lids for about a fiver from an electrical wholesaler
