Hello
My g.g.g.grandfather was John Champion. He was a Captain of the above mine in the early to mid 1800s. He lived from 1791 to 1860. Several of his children were also mine captains, at least one emigrated to America. Has anyone heard of Captain Champion and my have some history of his life and work?
Thanks very much.
