Plans, old photographs (especially underground) and anything else of interest. I’m also trying to find a copy of the NMRS British Mining no.33, if anyone has a copy they’d like to sell or knows where I can buy one? I lived in the village of Cononley as a kid and have photographs of the incline shaft, as we used to venture down regularly as naive kids. Would love to see photos from other parts of the mine if anyone has any? Thanks in advance. IP: 86.158.231.2

Quite possibly Kilhope may have a copy to examine as I gave a lot of NMRS/NCMRS stuff to them in 2015/6 although I don't know offhand if BM 33 was among them but it was quite a comprehensive pile. Jim I'm going to purchase the PDF but not sure whether the images are low res as most publications by PDF seem to lower resolution of images for delivery. It's the images I'm interested in mostly. Yes, I seem to remember a website by Martin Roe but alas, it's not live anymore. For those of you interested, I've just uploaded a few of my own images from the early 1980's. A Yorkshire Archaeological Society newsletter refers to the same material being previously available on a CD. Searching on academic sources it appears thus: Roe, M 2000a An Integrated Study of the Underground and Surface Archaeology of Cononley Lead Mine, North Yorkshire. Unpub BSc dissertation in Archaeology, University of Leicester. There's also a geophysical survey by R.W.
