Whilst out exploring recently, I came across this overgrown chimney stack in a field near Myddfai.

Does anyone have any more detailed information on the site please?

There is a 4 page write up on page 32 under Casara in G.W.Hall's book "Metal Mines of South Wales".

I have a vague memory of reading somewhere of an adit in very dangerous state, and this was years ago, and having trucks in it. Also an unfriendly landowner.

Good to hear you've ordered a copy of MMoSW - it will be your Bible for our area! Big Grin

Hi...new boy here!
The mine is, i think, generally known as Casara.
I found this mine whilst out on the motorbike last October ... I've included a couple of photos in an album "Casara".
