Talybont, Wilkinsons Level.
There is a blockage in Childs Shaft just above the level. A truck!
Exploring the Alltycrib Hill in the late 1980s I have a vague recollection of looking down into an openworks and seeing an ore truck. This is reinforced by this. There is actually a working, which looks difficult to get to, about 20 feet above Wilkinsons Level.

I am currently doing some work in there so this view will probably be blocked off.

Its so bizarre, this is why I opened a thread.

Reminds me that, in the bottom of a stope at Longrake mine, there were a number of car tyres. They weren't modern either, I recall at least one had a diamond tread pattern, vintage style. Clearly the stope had gone to daylight, at some time.

There is a wagon lodged near the bottom of the shaft in Llaneilian slate quarry, Anglesey. It's visible from the bottom of the shaft. (It might be an interesting project to rescue it.)

Best to go around low tide (unless you want to swim).

There's also a car in either Old or New Shaft, Parc (Gwydyr). I can't remember which shaft, but the one in the woods to the NW of Kneebones Cutting. I recall thinking that you could probably wiggle through the car and abseil on down...
