Hi, does anyone know the situation with regards access to this site? We are in the area at the weekend and wondering if it is possible to arrange a visit? Many Thanks. IP: 86.144.233.39

When Peter Harvey lived there you just asked at the house.
Not sure now though.
Someone with up to date knowledge should be along sometime.

A few years back there was a group active in there but again I do not know the current activity or state of the workings.

A team timbered the Logaulas section in the 90s but it was still a crawl. Recall going as far as beneath the Glogs one afternoon back then. It made one feel a very long way beneath the Earth's surface!Haven't been back since. Roy Fellows may have relatively up-to-date info. IP: 81.156.39.54

The new people are very amicable but need to consult with someone else before offering advice.

Thanks Roy. Thumbs Up

My memory of it is that the miners must have all been only 4ft high!
It was a long walk stooping all the way! Crying

I will pop down to the house tomorrow and check with the owners. They have not had a problem with visits in the past. I want to check the Penygist rope so if you wish I could accompany you. It is a bit of a crawl due to build up of tailings washed in from the surface (probably) and trapped at the blockage. We unblocked it many years ago. We installed some laddering at the rise a few years ago after the old ones disintegrated. I be local.Smile IP: 95.144.179.181
