May 2017 be full of new ground, locos in full steam, calcified horses, finding the fabled 'bar' and finally discovering the strategic steam reserve. Thumbs Up

You and me both, here's hoping 2017 is a much better one! It's got off to a good start for me (see UKC...) so let's hope this continues - here's to new ground and plenty of good beer and whisky in the coming year.

and the same here from Roy.

We have good years and bad ones, 1998 and 2010 were the worst years of my life, 2014 was on of the best. I had the best 10 days at the end of year ever down Cornwall, could not go wrong with the weather.

I am optimistic for this year, maybe some new discoveries, who knows.

That is a good start Thumbs Up It also proves beyond doubt what we on AN have known all along; mines are more interesting than caves.

A happy new year to everyone, a bit belated, but we were in bed at 9:30 last night, after having spent nearly 7 hours in A & E on Friday night. However, I live to visit a few more mines this year.

Happy New Year Guys to all those that know me/us and also to those that I/we haven't met yet

Had a wonderful time over Xmas in North Wales with a lot of trips underwater and above the water line ( some lovely new artifacts under the water in Rhiwbach) with a nice visit to Hendre which is a new one for us, what a very photogenic place this is and the little sleeping bats looked like black Tulips hanging from the the ceiling.

Paul, Lefel Fawr at Cwmystwyth should be clear to get gear through later in this year, the incline below water should be interesting, you could go down using the rails.

Falls are cleared now but there is certain plastic tube....
