Posted: 17/12/2016 17:33:30 Reply | Quote My Wife spotted a tiny piece of card poking out from under some rubble and after a bit of delicate excavation revealed these, obviously a miner had a break and a smoke whilst he read the paper. Posted: 17/12/2016 22:24:14 Reply | Quote Parky's were the only smokes that came in 5's around that time as I remember - blue for tipped, red for un-tipped. 1/- for 5. Players No.6 were 2/- for ten (4/- for 20), rougher (and smaller) No.10s were slightly cheaper - again in packs of 10 (or 20). As a 14 year old these were the smokes of choice - Parky's if you were really hard up! IP: 82.14.247.17 |

Posted: 18/12/2016 20:51:49 Reply | Quote I'm ashamed to say that I celebrated my last day at junior school, aged 11, with a Park Drive, stolen from my mate's dad's packet. We shared it and then puked up. Later, I came to love them, but not for that long. I did still get Senior Service until not that long ago, as well as Capstans. The thing with strong fags is that you don't actually smoke many of them - unlike the weedy shite like Silk Cut that folks would literally chain-smoke to try and get a buzz off. No-one ever discusses the effects of cigarettes in the public arena, which may be why such other conundrums also go undiscussed. IP: 81.174.241.13 |
