While the emitters may be capable of that level of output, chances of it being driven well enough to make that happen is small. Your average punter Wouldn't know if it's 300 lumens or 3000, they just know it's a lot brighter than the 30 year old maglite with batteries equally as old that sat in the kitchen drawer. -- Searching for the ever elusive Underground Titty Bar. What can be compared, is a device' ability to dissipate heat? If it looks feable compared to the claimed output then be sceptical. However it has to be said, the Chinese stuff offer's great value, even if the light outputs are nowhere near their claims. -- 'Nitrate of Ammonium: If not too generously applied these explosives make an excellent manure' IP: 92.17.218.194 |

It was probably the bare wires causing a short which would then cause the protected Li Ion battery protection circuit to disconnect. I know that you used a protected battery because if it had been unprotected you would be posting about a fire, not cutting out! ![]() -- My computer is my own, I will not download your junk and give you control over it.
