Friends of the North Pennines have published a book of early 19th century watercolours of the lead mining industry as part of the Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project. These images have been in the Science Museum archive for many years.

Come to the launch of IMAGES of INDUSTRY in the Mining Institute in Newcastle(NEIMME).

Wednesday 4th November 2015 10.30am.

Price after the launch will be £24.00. Launch price is £20.00.

Watercolours and pen and ink sketches of early 19th century lead mining scenes. Hardback, 176pp, 71 full page illustrations.

If you are unable to attend the NEIMME launch event, you can pre order via Peter Jackson and pick up from either the NAMHO Council meeting on 14th November or at other times from 14 Kirk Rise, Frosterley, DL13 2SF. If you want to use this method, email Pete via admin(at)nentheadmines.com.
