Does anybody know amything about these? They are up in the forest near some sort of sub-station (can give better directions if required) one looks massive, quite curious to see how extensive it is. If it goes underground etc

Any info appreciated Smile

I once had someone''s lamp in for repair and they told me that they had a ''Petzl Duo'' that they could use. I didn''t sleep well that night and got up early to finish their lamp.

There is the remains of some sort of winding house and then it drops steeply down into a massive pit that's all overgrown, it's an SRT job to get down there for sure so not within my capabilitiea just yet! IP: 82.132.212.34

I've been down something in that area but not sure exactly where you mean.

There are a line of 3 pits near the mast marked on the OS map. These are Prince Llewelyn. Is this where you mean?

Hope I'm not too late on this, I've only joined today. Yes, this sounds like Prince Llewelyn Quarry, we live in the quarry cottages, so I've done plenty of amateur exploring, and have been shown a couple of adits by an old chap who's father worked here. There are several buildings and a waterwheel house disappearing into the undergrowth, so if anyone was interested in seeing things before they disappear completely, let me know.

PS. The pit you talk about Dan, is where they discovered the body of a South Wales murder victim last year !

Its a sort of phrase of mine and says it all.
