Is it possible there has been a mix up somewhere between entrances and fatalities?

Porth-yr-ogof , There have been 11 deaths since 1957 , so assuming caving wasn't invented in 1957,and equipment & expertise haven't deteriorated since 1957 , I think its safe to say that there is a cave in the UK ,where 15 people have been killed

I don't really want to perpetuate this thread, but there have been 11 since the first recorded one in 1957.

So its totally not safe to say theres a cave where 15 people have been killed.

So like I said you are quite happy that caving was invented in 1957 , and as a result of this nobody in the history of caving died at this cave before its invention ? IP: 82.20.144.169

Note the word "about"

For what its worth, I could write everything I know about caves on the back of a postage stamp, and still leave a very wide margin. I rather feel this is reflected in my not even being able to name the exact cave that I was thinking about.

I am quoting myself here as I feel responsible for taking this into the bickering which appears to be breaking out. This is aditnow not UK Caving.

Can we please let the matter die.
