Its level ground to the start of the descent to the car park. The gulley would be the old tramway. I need to take a look at the top of internal incline where it breaks to day as well. -- ...power is not physical strength, it comes from a lack of intent, an absence of mind, and is generated at the Hara which must be ones centre of gravity. One with the remains of a winder, and which seems to have been created to lower stone to the main level that comes out near the river, and the other is older and may have been worked in a different way. I imagine the older one has some connection with the stuff up on top. -- There isn't enough time! IP: 195.89.37.70 |

Posted: 06/10/2015 15:01:40 Reply | Quote Thanks. I had noticed that but didn't think of it as an incline. Next visit I am going to have good root about on the surface above the mine. You are very familiar with the place. Our mineral area extends as far north as Swyg yr Eria waterfall, is there anything else on our area, mines quarries, trials or whatever. The map is bit on the poor side, as soon as get a better one from Land Registry I will try to upload a better one to our website. Oh, and somewhere I picked up on the web that there is an old mine passage near to the car park, you sort of drop down into it. Martyn Farr discovered it. I have emailed him but no answer yet, I will ask him about it when I see him. -- ...power is not physical strength, it comes from a lack of intent, an absence of mind, and is generated at the Hara which must be ones centre of gravity. I would suspect you are referring to 'Blue Dinas' which was discovered by Martyn, the entrance was a much smaller drop down affair in those days.
