Posted: 07/03/2008 20:51:55 Reply | Quote Been ages but I will give it a go. Memory serving me correct I did it with my old mate "Heb" and his charming ladyfriend "KC", she will like the "charming" bit if she reads it. Anyway, shaft entry via about 40 feet? fixed ladder fitted by CAT, most interesting workings. Incline entrance, (you may have to dig it open) to some minor workings. Posted: 07/03/2008 21:49:22 Reply | Quote Could I suggest keeping things a bit quieter about this area? Keep underground gear under cover. I'm told that the local estate isn't too keen on underground access. The incline is well & truly blocked, filled in by the guys working Grove Rake - because someone was seen going in! I'd probably suggest a rope on the shaft - it's wide, and the ladder goes right down the middle, supported by a scaffold pole about half way, if it fails you won't climb out of that one.
