Tomorrow (14th October) is the centenary of the worst mining disaster to occur in Great Britain. 439 men and boys lost in an explosion. Thought to have been caused by sparks from signalling apparatus.

At 8-10am, maybe pause over your Cornflakes or whatever and remember....... Sad

I want you to kill Nicholas Parsons, and I want you to make it clean. But if you can't make it clean, make it messy. If you can't make it messy, make it noisy. And if you can't make it noisy, make it silly!

Rest in Peace!

I have indeed been thinking about the disaster on this memorial day

Many of my relatives were coal miners in South Wales in the early years of the 20th century.
