I'm sure one of them was Peter Hughes of Crofty fame?
Were the other two from Southwest Tunneling?

Ah, I've got some memory left then...I remember Peter Hughes at Crofty, he and his mate Simon? were on 310 fm down on Robo's for a while, I was mate to the late Micky Briggs, I think we were working somewhere up No: 5 or 7 East.
I was at Geevor after the shut down and I seem to recollect that those other two guys went down to check out the track header down the bottom of the sub incline from Victory shaft with a view to pulling it out but I don't think the economics stacked up, Dave Kneebone was the manager back then circa 1990.

Dave Kneebone was one of the CSM instructors when I did my induction course at Holman's Test Mine for CSM... 1974....

I knew Robin Daniels at British Gypsum in Mountfield in the mid-80s. I think his brother Charlie is a driver on one of the Welsh lines?

I thought the Daniels Bros have an interest in steam trains down in Cornwall.?
Robin is a right character,he reminded me of Jethro,he had the same sense of humour,Charlie was a lot quieter.
They did have ownership of a Small mine in South Wales for a number of years, with the view to re-open and supply coal to the Steam Trains they have interest in,but sadly due to not commencing any work on the Colliery, the area has now been passed for wind turbines, hence neutralising a fair amount of the take.

Mr Kneebone runs his own mining related company based in Newlyn. Our paths cross at regular intervals. A really great bloke with lots of experience and stories, if you have the time to listen.

Yes the Daniels bros do run two large traction engines based somewhere on Bodmin Moor which are worth seeing in steam as are Robin and Charlie !

Mr K has a realy dry and wry sense of humour. A good guy to work with, down to earth and a realist.
Unlike some who tend to be full of self importance and frequently make pratts of themselves as a consequence.

From recollection, Charlie Daniels was the quiet one because he stammered when he spoke?

Tony Brooks joined CSM during my time there, one of the new staff who appeared as part of the move to the "New" ( Trevenson ) campus. He had previously been in Zambia somewhere - N'Changa? I remember him coming on Field Week to Sheffield, does that still take place?

Yes, Dave Kneebone was a very approachable bloke and very knowledgable.
Here are a few more of the names I can remember during the last days of Geevor, not in any particular order:

Johnny Johnson, stores.
Robin Boon, survey.
Martin Mount, geologist.
Pam, office secratary.
Frank Stone, office.
Dave Wright, chemist.
Gill (female) metalurgist?
Eric Gale, shaft master.
Norman Barnicoat, shaft man.
Donald Harris, engineering.
Bob Orchard, chief engineer.
Mike Thomas, engineering.
Dick Harvey, engineering.
Tommy Sedgeman? tin floors.
Eddy Strick, blacksmith.
Dave Trembath, winder driver.
Maurice Trembath, winder driver.
Stuart Keast (Beaky) miner.
Leon Guisleman, sometimes out in Ecuador on some gold recovery project that Geevor had a stake in.
A bloke called Ronnie who used cycle down through the site to feed the seagulls every day.
Many more faces but can't remember their names.

field trip week still happens at the start of the third year (mid September), Sandviks mining HQ in Finland is the usual destination now, or INMETs huge copper mine out there
