The grate moor caving club Stockport dug a shaft out in that quarry in 1971 to a dead end 20 ft up the face we went in 10ft and down 20ft to a small bedding to tight to get in.

Yes brakeman,I think your right its a big old stope on slaters engine mine, the shaft is only ten meters away from the fall of ground ,and i`d put the top of the stope a good 60 -70 meters down,goo
