Were the rivets for Protector Type 6's actually rivet shaped ? ie. a preformed "mushroom" at one end and the other end crimped/blatted upon issuing from the Lamp Room, or was plain lead (?) wire use

As with tamarmole, a single strand of copper wire. I always put a smear of Vaseline on it and the nuts/washers retaining same.
