End on stone as a retaining wall, there are a few other examples of this style around the site. The is also some wooden structures built in to the beck. This may represent re-alignment of the beck and associates ore washing or buddling in the beck itself. Some of the wooden feature appear to be in sections on the bed of the beck and look like weir or ponds in the beck. I am not sure if the wooden structure is original to the site, but the wood look in reasonable condition, it could be an overturned jig or something similar
