About Red78

"1878 Factory Act: Quarrys are any place not being a mine in which persons work in getting slate, stone, coal or other minerals. Which begs the question: what is a mine??"

Bio

Amature mine explorer, but due to a love of walking I get upto old mine sites with relative ease. I tend to stick my camera into any hole I can find, then like to research about the mine when I''ve come back. Have a small library about mines, mostly in the Dales, but also as far a field as Pembrokeshire, the Lakes, Skye, & central Germany.
