Coal Winding Shaft
Don't know much about this preserved winding shaft, but appears to be quite small bore. I think I read it was about 600' to the bottom but don't quote me. Taken on black and white 120 roll film.
Further Information from Digit: Apparently it is likely this shaft also wound clay and ironstone at times, so shouldn't be strictly referred to as simply a coal shaft. The timber work is actually quite new here as it had been recently renewed.
