Description: Bridford Mine, Christow. Bridford Barytes Mine. The 380 ft. Level on No. 3 Vein showing the vein in the roof of the level, consisting of barite with some inclusions of country rock. The ladder leads up into a stope and beside it is a box-hole or shoot for drawing the broken ore from the stope. The pipes supply compressed air for pneumatic drills.
