AditNow 2013 Photography Competition Results

All submitted photographs were of a very high standard and judging between them and deciding on winners was an exceptionally hard task.

In it's 7th year, the AditNow photo competition is simply about awarding prizes for some great mine exploration photographs. We felt the idea of topic was getting a bit restrictive... so we asked you to take your best shots, above or below ground and enter them. And here are the results!

Thank you to all who took the time to enter, and sorry we couldn't award a prize to everyone.

1st Place

Danby Level Lead Mine by pringledude.

We liked the sense of being in an abandoned mine; a few artifacts in the foreground, and the very fine stone arching. We also liked the superb lighting, it would have been an easy photograph to burn out, but the lighting is consistent and effective.

This year's 1st prize donated by Excellent Stuff was a StenLight S7+ headlamp, battery & charger.

Glen Sannox Barytes Mine by Scottiedog.

Glen Sannox Barytes mine on Arran was a solo explore that I needs a revisit as there's plenty more to see. Some parts that need swimming/a boat to access. A place that I love as its in among the wild mountains.

This year's 2nd prize donated by was RETRO XP 400lm lamp upgrade sponsored by Techical Concepts and a copy of Adventures in the Lead Trade sponsored by Phil Wolstenholme.
