Whieldon's Iron Mine (United Kingdom)

Ironstone mine located near the village of Foxt. Shown on the 25 inch OS maps as having an air shaft, main shaft and a lime kiln.

There was also a tramway down to the road at Foxtwood Cottages however no trace remains.

Remains consist of a tip (this has been used by the farmer) and two circular structures, one seems to match the location of the lime kiln and the other the shaft. These have large trees growing out of them.
