West Driefontein Gold Mine (South Africa)

Based at Carletonville, 60km south of Johannesburg. This is a multiple shaft gold mine, holding records for the most gold produced by a goldmine (2000+ tonnes) and the deepest mineshaft in the world (over 3000m).
