Moor End Mixenden (Moor End Quarries) Sandstone Quarry (United Kingdom)

Moor End Quarries extended either side of Moor End Road by Gibb Lane, Mixenden, Halifax, West Yorkshire.
Small deep quarry to west of road still as abandoned but the stiffleg derrick with three lattice legs that was on egde of quarry until about 15 years ago has now disappeared.
Quarries extended across fields to east of road to present main working quarry.
Earlier workings behind houses on Gibb Lane seem to have been reclaimed and dark grass shows good drainage.
