Merlin Hill (Merlin's Hill) Lead Mine (United Kingdom)

A lead mine from the 1850's. There is a blocked, stone lined adit next to a public right of way with a grate covered 7m deep winze up the hill. The Winze is clear, apart from the grate. According to the reports the level is around 50 fathoms long. There may be a cross cut at the end. ( more details can be found from; Metal mines of southern wales. G.W.Hall )
