2 shafts sunk during 1864 and worked sporadically until 1930. Used the now filled Dudley No 2 canal to transport coal to the Bromford Steelworks. 2 capped shafts remain in the middle of a field just off the A456 close to junction 3 of the M5. Both shafts are surrounded by dense vegetation, so difficult to get close to
