Levant Tin Mine (United Kingdom)

Includes Spean Consols. Famous as "The mine beneath the sea", although many other mines had submarine workings. Producer of tin and copper, went into decline after 1919 when a disastrous accident cost 31 lives after the man engine rod failed. In the 1960s it became part of Geevor.
