Langdale Axe Other Rock Mine (United Kingdom)

An ancient stone working high on the langdale pikes. The 4,000 year old workings are small, but well worth a look if you've got time. Rock would have been chipped off by hand from within a small underground gully, before being taken to small huts to be processed further.
