"El Tesoro" mine is member of the mining group Antofagasta Minerals S.A. one of the producing copper companies of upper growth of the world-wide industry. This company has its base in Great Britain, but their activities are concentrated basically in Chile, where in addition it has company "Aguas Antofagasta" and mines "Michilla" and "los Pelambres, those that altogether produce annually 434,000 tons of fine copper. The Plant is located in the second region of the Country, to 196 kilometers of the city of Antofagasta and to 90 kilometers of the city of Calama. The nearest locality is the located town of "sierra Gorda" to a distance of 22 kilometers. The property of Miner "El Tesoro" is constituted in a 61% by Antofagasta Minerals S.A. company pertaining to Antofagasta PLC and in a 39% by Contractual Company Mining Leonor, subsidiary of Equatorial Mining Limited, whose main shareholder is AMP Life Limited, one of the greater institutional investors of Australia.
