De Fles. (De Roosburg.) Limestone Quarry (Belgium)

De Fles (The bottle) is a remaining part of a much larger quarry. Now cut off from the rest by collapse. It is located just outside the village on the border with the province of Li├Ęge. The hill where the quarry is located is called the ROOSBURG. In 1958 the central part of the mine collapsed. 18 people lost their lives. 11 of them are still buried under tons of rock.
