Another new Cornish Mineral
Posted: 05/01/2021 04:18:17 Reply | Quote According to University of Cambridge they have discovered a new mineral from Penberthy Croft mine and have named it Penberthycroftite......I bet they were up all night thinking of that one ![]() Hopefully this will only be a temporary name. I was discovered microscopically, so gurt big chunks are unlikely to exist. It's basically an arseno suphide-ish mineral, and has associations with most of the common gangue materials found in practically all Cornish metal mines, and so could be present in other mines. -- "You Chinese think of everything!"
