I was only five, but I do have a good memory - especially when someone seems to be enjoying their head being on fire. My morning coffee also feels like this Wink IP: 81.174.241.13

I can (just) remember going to see The Crazy World of Arthur Brown at Narbeth Town Hall, and yes he did set his hair on fire. Even more scandalous, and got the good Chapel goes of the town on their high horses, was that he had a female dancer with him who went topless!! Shock, horror!!

Ah, the good old days.ShockedInnocent

....and Black Widow "sacrificed" a naked girl on stage in "Come to the Sabbat". And who can forget Stacia dancing naked covered in body paint with Hawkwind on the Space Ritual tour. Ah the 70sLaugh

But back to this thread on miner's titfers. As part of my £5 bargain auction win of Cornish mining odds and sods, I also got the following, described as a leather inner helmet.

Not sure whether it is leather, possibly felt. I have no idea how to conserve this, so I shall probably see if Liskeard Museum would like it as a donation (once they are fully open).

The local mine explorers still use them in the Forest of Dean.
