Finally managed to get out and have a crack at shooting the comet with a suitable foreground.
Comet Neowise was visible even through some thin cloud and light pollution from Redruth town.
The comet will be closest to Earth on Thursday 23rd July and from there will be heading out into space back to wherever it came from; probably the Kuyper belt.

Here is a picture of Comet Neowise I took from outside Preston using a Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera. I used an ISO setting of 1600, aperture of F5.6 and a 20 second exposure.

Good picture. Not the brightest of comets but the only naked eye one since Hale Bop (1997 ?) I tried a few shots through the telescope at prime focus (equivalent to using a 1200mm Lens at f6) But not much cop. Coma was very fuzzy And couldn’t get much of the ion tail.
Might have another crack if it’s clear tonight Smile Hmmmm perhaps I shouldn’t have said that.

Images need to be uploaded to an album on this site, either for a specific mine or your personal album, or linked from another online site. To get at your personal album ,hover over "My Aditnow" and click on the link in the dropdown, then follow the instructions to upload the photo. To put it into a thread, view the image in the album and scroll down below the rating section, there's a section that gives you the links to either just display the image in a thread or display it and link to the full size image.
For example, here's one pulled out of my personal album:

If you have your own website or webspace provided by your service provider you can upload an JPEG image to it and create a direct link into it i.e. www.yourwebsite.com/image.jpg (but dont forget to put the http:// before it as well. IP: 77.97.168.136
