Hi Ir85’ as has already been suggested to you, I strongly advise that you aquire a copy of the Smalcleugh plan before you return!
It has the advantage that you will not get lost in the mine and will show you little things that will enhance your visit!

Cheers for that. The getting lost bit is why we turned back so I do intend on coming back better prepared. I'm not a hardcore explorer so I try to keep safety in mind
