Just come across this site - if that pull in rope was pink then I put it there by abbing down the shaft; tying a rock hammer to our cheap pink rope and giving it a good chuck up the adit. luckily it held and was tied off adit side and on the breach side where we used to brew tea. Happy days - don't know how many mines I explored in this cowboy fashion..
