Its arrived today, I must thank Peter Burgess personally for sorting this.Unfortunately we had to start from scratch, a student friend of mine typed up the text having no knowledge of mining or welsh and there were a lot of errors, which I had missed and Peter spent a long time sorting. The book stops the £45.00 a copy currently being asked for copies on the net The end product is a credit to him and I am sure everyone will agree.

Again thank you Peter

Rhosydd Slate Quarry , M.J.T. Lewis and JH Denton, Sb, A4 94pp, it is £16.00 + £2.70 postage

Thanks

Mike

I sent PMs to those who expressed an interest in this

Cheers Mike, ordered and paid for just now.
Took a while though, your on-line payment system threw me out a few times. It's gone into meltdown processing all the Rhosydd orders Laugh

Mike - I couldn't have got the book done without the transcript you sent me so fair play to them for what I had to work with, which was pretty good to be honest. It only takes a dozen or so typos or bits of missing text to make you scour the thing several times before you get it sorted.

Arrived today and very nicely printed it is too. Thanks Mike!

I'm also pleased with my additional purchase, "Gwynedd - Inheriting a Revolution". First quick flick through and it looks rather wonderful. The photos of Porth Wen brickworks and the Penrhyn pump are pretty much worth the purchase price on their own!

That has to be Tony Oldham! Bit of a d1ckh3ad. He Sells photocopies of other peoples' books. Got himself banned from AditNow for doing more or less the same thing.
Is it on eBay?
